Where is the new hot spot to live in the Hamptons? I shouldn’t say this out loud, but it’s definitely North Haven (where I live in Sag Harbor!).
If you could own a home anywhere out East, where would it be? I am lucky enough to say that I’d be exactly where I am—on the bay in Sag Harbor. The natural light is incredible.
What is the new architecture aesthetic that people are wanting? Even I am leaning more modern and am in the midst of designing our next home with tons of glass.
What is your favorite architectural inspiration spot? The Amalfi Coast in Italy because locals understand how to showcase surrounding natural beauty in the design.
What is your favorite unique house feature? Utilizing the rooftop for pools and other features like gardens and tennis courts when restrictions make them otherwise impossible.
JULIE HELLER, OWNER AND CURATOR OF CABANA
Where is the new hot spot to live in the Hamptons? I’m hearing about more and more people living in Amagansett. The square is so cute and it’s fairly central—it’s even easy to get to Montauk from there!
If you could own a home anywhere out East, where would it be? I love living in Southampton, but if I had to choose another area, I think it would be fun to get a house in Sag where I could walk into town. There are so many cute new places to eat and things to do there.
What is the new architecture aesthetic that people are wanting? I am very into the whole modern barn aesthetic.
What is your favorite architectural inspiration spot in the world? I am obsessed with Rome! It is so cool that you are essentially walking around an outdoor museum. We always stay at the Hotel de Russie, and I could wander around that area for days—it’s just so beautiful.
What is your favorite unique house feature? I really love steel frame doors and windows—so chic.
JACKIE PESCE SIERON, SENIOR MARKETING MANAGER AT THE CORCORAN GROUP
Where is the new hot spot to live in the Hamptons? No single spot dominates, but Sag Harbor’s popularity has increased in the last two years.
If you could own a home anywhere out East, where would it be? Montauk—I love the true beach town vibe, and there’s just so much fun to be had!
What is the new architecture aesthetic that people are wanting? People want to bring the outdoors in; open spaces and being able to entertain will always be important.
What is your favorite architectural inspiration spot in the world? Positano, Italy, has retained so much of its original charm.
What is your favorite unique house feature? Windows! Natural light sets the tone for the home.
