Prediction for the song of the summer?
MB: I have a few—“Espresso” by Sabrina Carpenter, “TEXAS HOLD ’EM” by Beyoncé and “Lunch” by Billie Eilish.
SP: I think “Murder on the Dancefloor” by Sophie Ellis-Bextor will continue to get a lot of play this summer.
Favorite Hamptons venue?
Both: Gurney’s! That’s home.
Favorite Hamptons restaurants?
SP: Scarpetta
MB: Calissa—get the whole fish and thank me later.
Scott Petrizzo, better known as DJ Chachi.
Favorite female artists?
SP: Alicia Keys
MB: There are way too many to name, but since Coachella with one of our artists, Mia Moretti (who crushed it on the Do LaB stage with Katy Perry), I have to name them both—Gwen Stefani and Ms. Lauryn Hill, who both performed and are absolutely legendary.
Favorite male artists?
SP: Post Malone (who will be headlining the Governors Ball Music Festival in NYC in June, where you can catch some of our 4AM DJs spinning)
MB: John Summit and Dom Dolla
What sets 4AM apart?
SP: We genuinely care about our artists and the people we work with.
MB: We’re scrappy, hard workers who prioritize our talent and the integrity of the party/event.
What makes a 4AM party successful?
SP: Our artists’ ability to read the room on the fly, in tandem with keeping the client’s vision in mind.
MB: We put a lot of thoughtful time and energy into understanding our clients and ensuring our DJs are set up for success before they walk into the room. This isn’t transactional for us.
What was your favorite Hamptons gig?
SP: Performing with Goldfish at Gurney’s, summer ’22
How has 4AM evolved since starting?
MB: We’ve expanded into so many different niches and amassed a lot of knowledge in our space. In the beginning, we were almost exclusively focused on nightclubs, but we have evolved to meet the needs of our artists and the changing landscape. But we are wherever the party is.
