Meet The Dazzling Founder of Jennifer Miller Jewelry

With two boutiques in Southampton and East Hampton, Jennifer Miller Jewelry (jennifermillerjewelry.com) has been the Hamptons’ shiny finishing touch for over 20 years. Here, founder Jennifer Miller gives us an inside look at the brand and life on the East End.

Can you tell us a little bit about Jennifer Miller Jewelry’s history? Jennifer Miller’s namesake brand specializes in classic and fashion-forward jewelry, with something for everyone. We specialize in mixing fine and fashion jewelry, which usually comes with a dose of sparkle. I began selling by appointment from my apartment and superchic beauty salons in New York and L.A. We hosted trunk shows with rave reviews across the country before opening my first boutique in Southampton. It ’s been over 30 years since I started… wow, I’m ancient! Our jewelry pieces are worn by Heidi Klum, Hoda Kotb, Emily Ratajkowski, Reese Witherspoon Drew Barrymore and Kyle Richards, to name a few. We routinely raise funds for many charities, including the Breast Cancer Research Foundation with limited-edition exclusive pieces.

How has the company evolved with the different generations? At first, I predominantly sold faux jewelry, but now my eclectic mix is a treasure box of fine and faux jewelry. My Southampton and East Hampton boutiques have been open for over 20 years, and clients who started shopping with me while carrying their first-born and now their daughters, and sons, are collectors and clients.… Our online business and focus on collaborations are so exciting. Most recently, we collaborated with brands like LoveShackFancy and Rachel Zoe.

Are there any new programs or events that you’re excited for this summer? Did you know that Carvel has an ice cream truck that you can rent? It is not only my favorite treat but also the perfect dessert in your driveway or backyard for ending a summer dinner party. After all that delicious ice cream, make sure to catch one of Isaac Boots’ iconic and upbeat Torch’d workout classes.

How has the Hamptons’ community supported and responded to Jennifer Miller Jewelry’s legacy? Even before opening my eponymous boutique on Jobs Lane in Southampton and Main Street in East Hampton, I had a store-within-a-store in an ultrachic boutique called ZOOM for another decade. ... I absolutely love the Hamptons. I met my husband, Mark, who happened to be my next-door neighbor. I literally married the boy next door, and he’s now my business partner. Our Hamptons clients and community are the secrets to my longevity… I learn so much from all of them every day and some of my best inspiration for new designs and ideas from them. I’m not only in the Hamptons but also in NYC, Palm Beach and South Beach at the completely renovated uberchic W South Beach hotel.

What is your favorite part about life in the Hamptons? The days are serene and beautiful. I start my day power walking to the beach with my pup Rolo. I take great pride and joy in my gardenia trees, sharing fresh and fragrant blooms as my go-to housewarming gifts. There is also nothing like dancing under the stars at Agawam Park during the Wednesday night concert series.

Anything else we can buzz for the summer? Tutto Il Giorno is opening Tutto Caffe next to my East Hampton boutique. It will be impossible to stay away from their deliciousness! I am also thrilled to have designer and friend Ramy Brook return as our Southampton next-door neighbor.
