AERIN X Mason Rudnick's Fragrance Collab Is The Scent Of The Summer
By Phebe WahlBy Phebe Wahl|June 26, 2021|Style & Beauty,
AERIN collaborates with fellow Hamptonite and photographer Mason Rudnick for a sweet summer scent with both the young—and the young at heart—in mind.

As the daughter of local luminary Lizzie Tisch, it is no surprise that East Ender Mason Rudnick (@masonlane) has impeccable taste and sublime style.

What might come as a surprise is her already impressive portfolio of photography considering she is just heading off to Brown in the fall. Aerin Lauder tapped the young talent for the campaign of her latest fragrance, AERIN Rose de Grasse Pour Filles. For the campaign, Rudnick snapped a series of portraits of fellow young creatives. We caught up with the lady behind the lens.

Tell us about the new fragrance.
Rose de Grasse Pour Filles is fresh and light—ideal for summer, and the perfect complement to the classic Rose de Grasse fragrance. When Aerin first approached me about participating in this project highlighting a girl’s first perfume, she sent me a sample and I have been wearing it nonstop ever since! I have never received so many compliments about a fragrance.

What are you currently working on in terms of your photography?
I am currently working on expanding my portfolio, and discussing new opportunities with retail brands I love.

How does your art and little luxuries like fragrance help you express yourself?
Art has always been my outlet to express myself; when I was younger, I did a lot of painting and drawing and over time moved to film and photography. Similar to art, fragrance is very personal, and Rose de Grasse Pour Filles is a perfume I find fresh and appealing.

Do you plan to spend time in the Hamptons this summer? If so, what are you most looking forward to?
For me, the Hamptons is all about fresh food, and some of the places I can’t wait to visit this summer are Fairway Diner at Poxabogue, Duryea’s, Ye Olde Bakeshop, Fairview Farm at Mecox and Estia’s Little Kitchen. Most of all, I am really looking forward to spending quality time with my family and friends as it’s my final summer before I leave for college.
