Who doesn't love a good time for a great cause? This weekend, the 75th annual Artist & Writers softball game will be taking place on Saturday, August 19 in East Hampton's Herrick Park. Taking place every year on the third Saturday in August, the festivities include hot dogs, hamburgers, ice cream and, of course, softball.

The game supports the East Hampton Artists & Writers' mission to build a community around the game. As one of the longest-standing traditions on the East End, the beloved event sees huge support year after year from artists, writers, supporters and volunteers alike. Entertainment and a little friendly competition will abound, with all proceeds benefitting local charities that provide vital human services. The supported charities include the Eleanor Whitmore Early Childhood Center, Phoenix House Academy, the Retreat and East End Hospice. Be sure to grab a T-shirt while you're there!
