After tasting these delicious wines, you might just be waddling out of this vineyard! This vineyard encompasses 140 scenic acres that you don’t want to miss. At Duck Walk, they’re not afraid to incorporate ingredients outside of their winery, like their Blueberry Port which is crafted with wild Maine blueberries. Utilizing unique techniques, like freezing their grapes while they’re still on the vine, helps them to create wines that are distinctive yet balanced.

Channing Daughters Winery is a small but mighty winery. Its 28-acre plot produces a wide array of fascinating grape varieties, making it the only winery on the East End growing and producing wines from many of these grapes. The winery has six separate vineyards that are sectioned into blocks, with each block representing the company's development. At Channing Daughters Winery, they believe that different occasions call for different wines, encouraging them to push the boundaries of the wine industry.

At Wölffer Estate Vineyard, they use New York state apples from the Halsey Apple Orchard in combination with their grapes to produce their dry white and rosé ciders. Their Summer In A Bottle Rosé collection typically sells out each summer and is the “number one fastest-growing rosé in New York.” But, their greatness doesn’t stop at rosé, their award-winning White Horse and Grapes of Roth wines are just as spectacular.

Overlooking the Long Island Sound, Kontokosta Winery has all the views. The Kontokosta family not only owns but manages the winery, which allows them to stay involved and guarantee consistent fruit quality and ripeness. Their wines have won prestigious awards, with their Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier both awarded gold in the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.

For those who want to spend a few days away rather than a day trip, Rose Hill Vineyards is the place for you. After enjoying your time at their upscale vineyard, The Farmhouse Inn is a cute bed and breakfast that features four separate bedrooms with luxury appliances and well-adorned living spaces. In addition to the complimentary breakfast, there’s also a complimentary charcuterie board and wine tasting! As for the vineyard, they only allow parties with a maximum of eight people per group on a first-come-first-serve basis, allowing for a more intimate experience. When Pellegrini Vineyards owners Bob and Joyce Pellegrini saw the vineyards of the North Fork region back in the 80s, they quickly realized that there was untapped potential in the Long Island wine community. They decided to tap into this potential in 1991 and have been curating wine ever since! Their wine is made by Cutchogue native and second-generation winemaker Zander Hargrave. Through time and experience, he is able to intentionally create Pellegrini’s wine. From their Sauvignon Blanc to their rosè, there’s something for everyone at Pellegrini Vineyards.

Started by winemaker Juan Sepulveda in 1984 under the name Laurel Lake Vineyards, it quickly became a prosperous member of the North Folk wine community. Fast forward to 2020, and chief legal affairs correspondent for ABC News Dan Abrams bought Laurel Lake Vineyards and changed the name to Ev&Em after his two daughters, Everett and Emilia. While the vineyard originally planted solely Chardonnay grapes, over time, the 40-acre vineyard has expanded to include an array of classic French varietals for red, rosé, and white wine. Their use of sustainable winemaking techniques has only enhanced the quality of their already divine wine.

Although RGNY is relatively new on the NY winemaking scene, their wine is beautifully and thoughtfully aged. Their belief in “continuous improvement, always learning and challenging ourselves to exceed customer expectations” doesn’t go unnoticed. Founder Rivero González's Mexican roots allow for family traditions and a unique perspective to their winemaking. A few years back, winemaker Tom Spotteck of Lenz Winery and Kristian Clark, president of White Oak Farm and Gardens created a wine tasting oasis within the existing Shelter Island treasured farm and garden. Set outside in nature, this alluring setting mixed with an array of wines to choose from brought from cellars around the Long Island area make this the ideal wine tasting experience. Not only do they have a white wine flight and red wine flight, but they also offer cheese plates from local business King Andrew Cheese to pair with them. Take the ferry over to Shelter Island for this killer combo!
