A spread of summery appetizers ready for delivery
Major Food Group’s Carbone, city slickers’ favorite Italian eatery, is setting up a temporary shop in Southampton. The Michelin-starred restaurant is now offering pick-up meals, which Mario’s Meatballs lovers can preorder at select times. The pick-up experience is seamless, from the predetermined time slots to the contact-free transfer. “This summer, we saw that a huge portion of our regular guests were living in the Hamptons, so we wanted to bring Carbone to them,” says restaurateur Jeff Zalaznick. During the summer months, Zalaznick recommends the caprese salad with fresh burrata, whole grilled branzino and lemon cheesecake. Of course, you can also never go wrong with the classics, such as the Caesar salad, spicy rigatoni vodka, veal parm and the famous carrot cake.
