Crash Cantina spices up the culinary scene with its debut at the freshly renovated The Inn spot.
The latest Latin American-inspired eatery to make landfall out East is serving up an extensive lineup of seafood-focused fare and flavorful cocktails to match. The space is tucked inside The Inn Spot—Hampton Bays’ recently renovated collection of waterfront bungalows (think studios and suites boasting patios, kitchenettes, Brooklinen bedding and surf-inspired decor). “We are excited to introduce a brand-new culinary concept to Hampton Bays with the opening of Crash Cantina this month, and to infuse new life into the historic Inn Spot with newly renovated waterfront bungalows surrounding what will be sure to be the social hub of the area,” says Dane Sayles, head of culinary and operations.

Stepping inside, the waterfront wonders take shape with a neutral palette of soft grays that welcome inside picturesque views of Shinnecock Bay with ever-changing colors from the ocean waves and clear skies. White decor and textural finishes complete the look, while Crash Cantina’s indoor dining room seamlessly flows into an expansive outdoor patio overlooking the bay. Sayles adds, “With decor and cuisine influenced by the laid-back Latin American surf lifestyle, Crash Cantina brings a fresh, vibrant ambiance and nontraditional culinary offerings.”

As for the bites? Chow down on crowd favorites like the local oysters with a mango-meets-passion fruit mignonette and bloody mary cocktail sauce, Montauk fluke ceviche or duck confit sopes with salsa verde. To expand your flavor profile, look no further than the taco menu full of traditional and experimental takes, such as the apple cider-smoked chicken with mole verde, crispy local fish with corn and daikon slaw, and the smoked mushroom carnitas. “Guests will enjoy a predominantly seafood-focused menu, with an assortment of tacos, salads and bowls complimented by an impressive cocktail menu featuring housemade margaritas,” says Sayles. Mix up your marg with tropical tastes like mango, passion fruit, tamarind, pineapple or hibiscus. Whether you’re stopping in for a bite or planning a staycation, this dynamic duo has everything you need for a sweet (and savory) stay. 32 Lighthouse Road, Hampton Bays, 631.728.1200, crashcantina.com
