What has been your most elaborate/memorable service?
One of our favorite clients throws very elaborate dinner parties. We hung flowers from her chandelier made of twigs and dressed the sideboards with flowers and pots of moss and tubed fresh gardenias into her trees, which frame out the four corners of her pool house. Her centerpieces were incredible combinations of flowers that dripped onto the tablecloths and spread to the dinner plates.
What do you enjoy the most about this industry?
It is ever-changing. When peonies arrive in the spring, they are such a welcoming sight. Quince in late December; Dutch hydrangea show up in April after missing them all winter. I am surrounded by beauty all year long.
What is your personal favorite floral or arrangement?
My favorite flowers would have to be viburnum, lily of the valley, blush Dutch hydrangea and huge cabbage roses.
