To welcome back the East End’s favorite season, Il Buco Al Mare hosts its annual summer kickoff party—rife with fresh fare and signature dishes.
While il Buco al Mare has stolen our hearts (and stomachs) as a year-round favorite with its ancient grain focaccias and imported tinned fish from Italy and the Iberian Peninsula, we must admit that we’re itching to get back to summer’s alfresco dining in the garden—and all the seasonal fare it tugs along. Cue its annual summer kickoff party Friday, May 24. “We’re so thrilled that this has become an annual tradition at il Buco al Mare. It’s our way of celebrating with our neighbors, friends and regulars before the summer crush begins,” says owner Donna Lennard. “It’s extra special this year, as we’re also celebrating the 30th anniversary of our flagship restaurant, il Buco, and we’re looking forward to sharing some special guests who will be joining us for this immense occasion.” At the afternoon soiree, expect nothing less than savory dishes from the grill (think lamb, lobster tails and more), pizzas from the wood-burning oven, oysters and other assorted specials.
