Jenna Krypell’s eclectic and ever-growing multimedia portfolio sets a spectacularly high bar for the future of artistic innovation. Bridging the gap between sculpture and painting, her pieces delve into the relationship between constraints and creative possibilities through two- and three-dimensional elements. While her multimedia works have been exhibited globally, the Brooklyn-based sculptor and painter continues to push boundaries in New York’s art scene.
“My work provokes a playful, vibrant and colorful aura,” said Krypell. “People go to the Hamptons to feel inspired, relaxed and have fun. Much of my work uses vibrant colors with beautiful natural painted elements to help the viewer enter a more calming mindset and escape the busy world around them.”
Since her debut in the art scene in 2017, Krypell’s work quickly garnered attention for employing MDF, hand dyed resins, paint and bold forms to synthesize her designs. Though Krypell’s artistic forms differ, they share a common thread—a reflection on life’s challenges and constraints juxtaposed with choice. Throughout her creative journey, Krypell places a particular emphasis on the concept of the “journey.”

“The act of having an idea and bringing that idea to reality is what motivates me,” said Krypell. “Conceptualizing and figuring out how to make an idea come to reality is hard work and takes a lot of patience. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing a finished idea existing in the real world, where other peopl can now see it and believe in your ideas. My dad always s d ‘Seeing is believing—you ca have all the ideas in the world but if you don’t physically make those ideas, then no o will be able to see those idea the way you do.’ Sharing my work with others and seeing how it inspires them fuels m with passion and motivation ”
