Jill Zarin, the vivacious and universally loved New York mainstay is gearing up to host the annual Luxury Luncheon and benefit, presented by Architechnology Designs in aid of Thyroid Cancer Research, and in honor of her late husband, Bobby Zarin. The Luxury Luncheon will allow guests to mingle with celebrities, socialites, and trendsetters while shopping and engaging with high-end brands. With a bevy of incredible sponsors and guests, this year's luncheon is sure to be one for the books. We sat down with Jill to discuss planning, preparation and all things summer.
There’s been so much buzz around this luncheon! This year especially is obviously near and dear to your heart. What’s been your favorite part about planning it?
JILL ZARIN: My favorite part of planning the luncheon is discovering new and exciting products and services while collaborating with Sean Koski and Brian Kelly of Ticket2Events! Creating the perfect mix of established luxury brands and emerging brands is what my event is all about. Keeping tight-lipped about what’s going to be showcased is always a challenge because I want to share all of the fabulous brands we find with my friends! Although the event is invite-only, a select number of tickets are available for the public to purchase on www.jillzarin.com where they can also make a donation to the International Thyroid Oncology Center (501-c).
What can people expect from this year’s luncheon?
JZ: Since this year’s luncheon is at Topping Rose House, the only luxury full-service hotel in the Hamptons, attendees can expect to experience a day of luxury and pampering. Our team has secured some of the hottest brands who will be making their Hamptons debut. As always, attendees can expect to be treated to glamorous complimentary beauty services, like the placenta stem cell face revitalization mask from XO8 Cosmeceuticals, magical color changing lipstick with real flower and flakes of gold from Blush & Whimsy, and refreshing rose water face spritz from Jean Pierre Cosmetics to name a few. Guests can also expect to shop the latest designer goods at discounted trunk shows from Rebag & Avid Swim. VIP’s will be gifted with $5,000 worth of summer essentials like the infuser water bottle from Be Bottle, coconut oil based skincare from Kopari Beauty and cleansing conditioner from Wen by Chaz Dean all stuffed inside a Rose Gold Quilted Koala bag. Of course, I can’t forget my Jill Zarin Rugs collection, so they are going to build a beautiful outdoor display that will blow everyone away! which will be displayed around the venue. I am so proud of the rug line because everyone who has bought one has told me how much they love them.
Last year’s raffle was such a success that we are dedicated to making this year’s even bigger, with one lucky winner taking home a prize package worth over $30,000!
We will also have a live auction including a custom painting by famed artist Domingo Zapata, a private 1 hour lesson with Nick Bolliterri during the US Open in central park, play tennis will me, Ramona Singer with 2 of your friends for doubles match you will never forget and tennis match with me and 2 of your friends at NY City oldest and most private club, Town Tennis including lunch
Any sponsors you’re particularly excited about?
JZ: I am especially excited about the tech brands because anyone who knows me knows I am a techie. Our presenting sponsor Architechnology Designs provides the best in high-end audio and visual in the Hamptons. Without ruining the surprise, they are going to build a beautiful outdoor display that will integrate innovative technology and luxury. Of course, a summer party in the Hamptons would not be complete without Tito’s Vodka & Whispering Angel! Lolea Sangria will also be onsite pouring their delicious sangria and infused rosé.
What about guests? There’s a lot of exciting housewives on the guest list… do you think there will be any drama?!
JZ: I don’t want to give away this years guest list, but I can tell you that we have hosted Beth Stern, Christie Brinkley, Carol Alt, Domingo Zapata, RJ Mitte, Taylor Dayne, Jonathan Cheban, Chris Burch, Jason Binn, Heather McDonald and housewives from all over including, Vicki Gunvalson, Cynthia Bailey, Danielle Staub, Luann de Lesseps, Ramona Singer, Tinsley Mortimer, Cindy Barshop and Sonja Morgan. Thankfully there is never any drama at my party because everyone is here for a good cause. This year we will honor my Bobby and I think that all of the women will respect this moment to party and celebrate, like Bobby always said, ”One more, that's it!"
Post-luncheon, how will you be relaxing in the summer months? Any trips planned?
JZ: Well this event pretty much wipes me out for a few weeks. I am trying to live more spontaneously and travel as much as I can, so you will have to “Watch What Happens next!”
