Jim Naples, the owner of Eastbay Builders, creates fully customized homes for his exclusive clientele that can be passed down for generations to come.
For Jim Naples, remodeling, renovating and restoring homes is not only second nature—it’s in his blood.
“I come from a family with a long history in different aspects of construction,” says Jim Naples, owner of East Bay Building. “After working in both the commercial and residential fields of the business, I took the leap into my own business.”
Naples founded Eastbay Builders (eastbaybuildersinc.com) in 1980, and, 43 years later, his firm continues to hold its renowned reputation as the East End’s premier construction and design company—from the Gold Coast to the Hamptons and beyond.
“I spent years in my younger days working in commercial construction in the city, as well as part time in the summers in high-end residential construction,” says Naples. “With a taste of working on the East End and being gifted with the talent required to do quality work, I decided to go for it. Forty-three years later, I’m glad I did.”

Not only does Eastbay Builders craft brand-new homes from the ground up, but the home design company also offers all phases of the construction and renovation processes, including home reconstruction, interior design, architectural design, custom construction, redesign services and more. “We apply a very personal touch, especially in our techniques and the quality of our finish work and trim details,” says Naples. “We strive to do it right and always suggest the best methods to preserve the longevity of the client’s investment.”
The company works on commercial buildings and traditional, historic and modern homes. Eastbay Builders is currently completing a project at the Long Island Game Farm and is in the process of renovating numerous estates across Long Island and the Hamptons.
“Building relationships with clients that appreciate quality work and the caring service we provide is the most rewarding aspect of my job,” Naples says. “Since we predominantly work on people’s homes, we respect the importance of realizing that, in many cases, their home is their castle. When we accomplish that and apply our craft, that is our reward.”

Recently completed projects by Eastbay Builders have included a restoration of the historic Mattituck House, the construction of a waterfront home in Eastport and a remodel of a Westhampton residence at 913 Dune Road, featuring three stories of living space, expansive windows and custom interior design elements.
Naples attributes Eastbay Builders’ 43 years of success to the firm’s capability to evolve with the constantly changing times, adapt to new technological advancements and cater to client demand.
A typical day for Naples includes visiting job sites, meeting with his crew and taking care of work calls at the Eastbay Builders office. When he is not working on construction and renovation projects, he enjoys spending quality time with close friends and family.
“My wonderful wife of almost 48 years is still my best friend,” says Naples. “We are blessed with five adult children and 11 grandchildren. So, spending time with the family, enjoying our beautiful home, boating and traveling when we can is what we treasure most.”
