What are some of your favorite summer looks for the Hamptons?
I love all of the easy summer dresses from LOEWE in peekaboo neutral crochets, as well as the chic silk scarf-print dresses and sarong skirts. The silk print skirts pair perfectly with solid swim separates (fullpiece and bikini tops) to create a really easy, fully styled set. I also love a plug-and-play coordinating summer set. Dolce, Johanna Ortiz, Zimmermann, Gucci and STAUD have great crop top and coordinating skirt or short options that help to take the guesswork out of effortless summer dressing.
What are your other summer wardrobe essentials?
I have a few essential pieces that anchor my summer wardrobe: The MVP is a neutral, go-with-everything summer dress. I love simple options in soft earth tones from LOEWE, Skims, Altuzarra and Proenza for summer. I often think of the long, breezy summer dress as the foundational building block of my summer wardrobe.
The perfect flat—classic pared-back leather options from the Row, Celine and Saint Laurent are my go-tos this season to elevate and ground every look.
Lightweight knits—for off-weather days or when you need a layering piece for cooler evenings. I love KHAITE, Altuzarra, La Ligne, the Elder Statesman and Jacquemus knits for summer.
A decidedly ‘high summer’ bag—This summer, I’m definitely in the mood to carry one of the new iterations of the classic raffia beach tote. It’s also a neutral color play, so it will pair well with nearly everything in your summer wardrobe. KHAITE, Alaïa, LOEWE, Saint Laurent and Cult Gaia have some of the chicest new takes for summer ’24.
Picture-perfect frame—I love the novelty of a fun, punchy-colored frame for summer, but I always pick one staple frame that becomes my default for the season. This year, the Dior Signature frame in classic black will be my go-to.
Core swim—Swim is where I like to inject a pop of color or print into my summer essentials. I’m obsessed with Hunza G bikinis for their fit, and they do color so well. For more classic suiting options in the most beautiful cuts, Matteau is my brand, season after season.
What inspired you to launch the Vêtir app?
I wanted a solution that solves for the way I shop and consume shoppable content. Vêtir leverages deep-learning technology to create one personalized, smart shopping platform that marries all of a shopper’s consumption touch points into a personalized shopping experience. Through virtual styling, video shopping, digital closet management, exclusive product feeds and personal outfit creation systems, it takes personal shopping and wardrobe management to the next level.
How does the app address essential issues of sustainability?
Since Vêtir creates a digital version of your actual closet within the app, it gives our users, and those users who work with stylists, full visibility into (what we like to call) their ‘wardrobe portfolio,’ right in the palm of their hand. So, instead of changing out their closet every year, our technology captures what they already have and makes fresh suggestions on how to assentially, shop their own closets, empowering users to upcycle and upstyle pieces of their existing pieces instead of just buying more and new each season.
