The grand Goose Creek property
Kyle Rosko of the Eklund Gomes team at Douglas Elliman (theeklundgomesteam.elliman.com) opens up about seasonal changes, real estate in the Hamptons and more.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF YOUR JOB? My favorite part about being a real estate broker in the Hamptons is that it allows me to connect and build long-lasting relationships with incredibly interesting individuals and families. To listen to my clients’ goals and dreams and help them achieve them by tapping deeply into my knowledge of all of the unique aspects of this place I get to call home. Secondly, I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to represent and show some of the most outstanding homes and estates in the entire world and constantly learn more about every nuance that makes each one remarkable.

ANY INCREDIBLE LISTINGS YOU HAVE RIGHT NOW OR COMING UP THIS FALL? OR ANY STELLAR RECENT SALES YOU WANT TO SPOTLIGHT? I have a few absolutely incredible listings that I am thrilled to be representing. The first is 51 West End Road, East Hampton. It is a stunning oceanfront on arguably the most desirable street in East Hampton Village with a super-rare set of characteristics. It is one of only two properties on the oceanfront with a waterside pool and grand lawn in the backyard between the house and the Atlantic. The views of Georgica Pond and the ocean can be seen from every room in the house, and the property’s grounds are nothing short of magic. The second is the grand Goose Creek estate set on 14 acres of waterfront on Georgica Pond. Built by the late real estate magnate Sheldon Solow as his dream compound, this 10,000-square-foot home has the highest level of privacy and 826 feet of south-facing exposure over Georgica Pond. The third is the stunning Seasmoke estate on the ocean in Amagansett. It is one of the most significant estates in the area at 8,200 square feet with a bordering reserve on two sides. You have an incredible position looking over preserved dunes out to the ocean. I am truly inspired every time I step foot on these properties. Coming up I have several new developments under construction that I am excited to launch and new special waterfront properties in the works.

WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO DOING THIS SEASON IN THE HAMPTONS? Going into fall, which is my favorite season of the entire year out East, I’m looking forward to surfing and cycling as much as possible and spending time outdoors taking in sunrises and sunsets with friends and family. Even though fall is an extremely active season for my business, the pace of life downshifts during the fall as it transitions from the summer energy. Also, I really enjoy photography in the fall; it allows me to pause and take a moment to capture the light in nature. The light that we experience during the fall months in the Hamptons is some of the most incredible anywhere!
