Fashion Designer Lisa Perry Shares Her East End Holiday Itinerary

By Isabel Sztraube | November 27, 2018 | People

Lisa Perry, who calls heavily on nostalgia to create her decade-old eponymous fashion and new-ish lifestyle collections, shares her holiday itinerary that's filled with treasure hunting, seaside spins and creative moments.

9 AM: I’m an early riser and, although I don’t like rushing in the morning, I do like to take a leisurely walk through town for about an hour. My first stop is at Provisions in Sag Harbor for a protein shake, then to Bagel Buoy for a whole-wheat everything bagel with smoked salmon.

10 AM: The stores open, and my favorite weekend activity is to shop for vintage furniture and accessories at some of my favorite home design stores like Bloom, Monc XIII, le lampade and JANGEORGe Interior Design.

11 AM: I head to East Hampton to visit Russ at R E Steele, another vintage furniture store. Russ has that beautiful kind of mess that die-hard vintage shoppers just love.

2 PM: Assuming it’s not super freezing, I go home and meet my husband for a bike ride and lunch on Shelter Island. We bundle up and take our bikes on the ferry and ride about 10 miles, and we arrive at Marie Eiffel, who brings her cool French style to the island through a yummy cafe, chic clothing and home stores.

3 PM: I like to spend a quiet afternoon working by myself in my studio. I’m in the middle of working on a book about my homes, which will come out in the spring, and I have a new project of buying and renovating homes that I’ll stage and brand “Lisa Perry.” I work on inspiration boards sifting through hundreds of images on Instagram and in magazines. I could do this for hours!

6 PM: I love movies, so we’ll head to East Hampton or Southampton to the theater. I’m very happy with my box of popcorn and M&M’s!

8:30 PM: In the offseason, I prefer to meet friends out for dinner rather than eating at home as it’s a bit livelier. Favorite places include East Hampton Grill, Sen, Sant Ambroeus and La Parmigiana.

10:30 PM: This is the time I enjoy watching a couple of episodes of a favorite show on my iPad before going to bed.

12 AM: Good night to the beautiful moon, which I get to see outside the window glistening over Peconic Bay.
