Montauk Highway is looking far busier than normal now that Lobster Roll has recently established a flagship restaurant in Southampton. In addition to the restaurant’s prized Amagansett sack, its second East End location is open for Hamptonites to indulge in lunch, dinner and late-night cocktail specials year-round.
“Our customers asked and we listened!” says Andrea Anthony, co-owner of Lobster Roll. “We have proudly expanded our brand to include our first year-round restaurant in Southampton. The Southampton location is our flagship now and represents the future for Lobster Roll.”
Chairman and CEO of Tilray Inc. Irwin Simon brings his prowess in business development to the Lobster Roll family at the restaurant’s new location. The stellar partnership between Simon and owners Fred Terry, Andrea Anthony and Paul DeAngelis was nothing but organic, given the like-minded business ethic and love of lobster. New merchandise, grab-and-go food items and doggy apparel are a few of the many additions that the team has in store.
The aesthetic of the new location features shack-inspired interiors, maintaining its roots through a nostalgic atmosphere. This seafood hot spot has elevated its fish game in a plethora of areas, making it a convenient and pivotal stop for day trippers and locals.

New to the revamped menu is Paul’s Famous Seafood Chili, Soup-N-Slider and baked stuffed flounder. As the ultimate catch of the day, the caramel apple crisp a la mode makes for a salivating and sweet end to the meal. These delectable additions can be enjoyed with the restaurant’s revamped drink selection, whether it be the Belvedere Cosmopolitan, Basil Hayden Manhattan or Bacardi Rum Splashes.

Since there are plenty of fish in the sea with a vast range of dining preferences, Southampton Lobster Roll’s new and improved gluten-free menu accommodates eaters of all dietary restrictions. The classic lobster salad roll, golden grilled cheese and chocolate cupcakes can all be enjoyed free of gluten.

To keep the lobster party going, the restaurant launched its first product development endeavor, lobster roll kits. Available to be shipped to parties outside the East End, lobster enthusiasts can pick from either the classic lobster salad roll kit or the hot lobster roll kit.
“Our slogan in Amagansett is ‘Where Summer Begins’ and has transformed into ‘Where Summer Never Ends’ in Southampton,” says Anthony. “Our goal for the past 56 years has been to put a smile on every customer’s face at Lobster Roll.” 32 Montauk Highway, Southampton, lobsterroll.com
