What is your favorite area of the Hamptons, and why do you love it? I live in Sag Harbor, which is a mecca of water sports, food, theater, cinema, and is super quaint. If you love boating and a great village vibe, there’s no other place to be.
What is your favorite place to exercise or work out? I love Tracy Anderson, Yoga Shanti and SoulCycle. And through the pandemic, I discovered Peloton too!
Sander shops at Serene Green for fresh local produce.
Where do you like to source food (farm stands, local restaurants or gourmet stores)? Serene Green on Noyac Road in Bridgehampton is my go-to for farm stand produce and just about everything else you need for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Round Swamp in Bridge or East is my new favorite for prepared foods to bring home.
What’s your go-to coffee or juice spot? Grindstone in Sag Harbor. Iced oat latte all day!
What is your favorite place or area to shop? Sag Harbor has such a variety of unique shops, ranging from the ‘5 & 10’ Variety Store, where you can find just about everything, to the marinas for luxury yachts like those at the Italian Yacht Group.
What is your favorite local spa and spa treatment? Onda Beauty has a terrific masseuse. She’s practically a healer.

Where’s the best place to spot celebs in the Hamptons? Anywhere, really. From Big Olaf’s ice cream shop to a bike at SoulCycle. But Tutto Il Giorno for sure has a great local restaurants or from the ‘‘5 & 10’’ Variety celeb following.
What’s your dream home street or address? Anywhere on the water with a dock.
What neighborhood are you loving right now? Shelter Island for its tranquility and relaxed beauty. And a plethora of waterfront properties.
What are you most looking forward to this season? Some downtime on my boat, cruising to Montauk for lunch at Duryea’s.

Any exciting news? I’m now leading a team of terrific real estate professionals that my clients can count on to meet any need— buying, selling or renting. We, the Mala Sander+Team, are able to bring the best of the Hamptons to more clients than ever before.
