The NYC philanthropy scene’s best and brightest will gather tomorrow at Casa Cipriani for the first annual Moonlight Gala benefitting CARE - Children With Special Needs. Chaired by Richie Akiva, Sophie Cohen, Lorraine Schwartz, Eli Mizrahi, Helly Nahmad, and Patrick Finnegan, and hosted by Michael Cayre and Roy Nachum, the event promises to impress.
Mayor Eric Adams will deliver opening remarks, followed by a performance by Grammy-winning recording artist Miguel later in the evening. Event partners include the exclusive SOCIETE membership club, FTX, Vito Schnabel Gallery, Give Well, Moonpay and MegaMoon Crown Kids.
A live auction by Sotheby’s will feature incredible artwork such as original pieces from Vito Schnabel Gallery, high-end jewelry pieces and watches and a luxury watch presentation by Jacob Arabo of Jacob & Co. Not to mention, incredible experiences such as a private suite for 18 to see Harry Styles at Madison Square Garden, a private jet ride and a five-night trip to Tulum, a NYFW experience with Gigi Hadid including front row seats and styling by Mimi Cuttrell and a lavish staycation package in the presidential suite at Casa Cipriani.
The evening will benefit CARE’s mission to help children of children with autism, seizures, cerebral palsy, down syndrome, development delay and undiagnosed disorders. Just a few of the ways CARE supports families include school placement guidance, counseling referrals and support groups, assisting to coordinate state funding for the families, and helping to secure eligibility for the government services and programs. Thus far, the generosity of Moonlight Gala’s attendees allows CARE to facilitate grants to over 18 diverse organizations including Make-A-Wish, Columbia University Pediatrics, Child Mind Institute and Reach for the Stars Learning Center, among many others.
