Obé & Hero Beach Club Bring Back the Workout Video

Obé's collaboration with hot spot Hero Beach Club combines retro flair with futuristic fitness.

The at-home workout craze hit its stride in the ’80s, when it was all VHS, Jazzercise, spandex and neon. Now, Obé (which stands for Our Body Electric) is bringing back the time-honored workout video, this time featuring top trainers dressed in the new fitness uniforms of the 21st century (though we still love those sweatbands and leg warmers). And since this is, of course, the digital age, you can take any of Obé’s 14 live daily classes, or choose from a library of over 5,000 workouts, including sculpt, dance cardio, HIIT, power and yoga, wherever it’s convenient for you. But the best place to get physical with Obé is at chic Montauk hotel Hero Beach Club, which teamed up with the fitness platform to create a special, dedicated Obé workout room adjacent to its spa. Here, beginning at 6am, Hero Beach Club streams Obé classes on a massive screen for the most immersive exercise experience. Guests will also be given a special code to download Obé’s on-demand programs on hotel iPads and sweat it out in the comfort of their own rooms.
