Oshen Salmon proves there's always a bigger—and better—way to fry with its new doorstep delivery service that features fresh, healthy and sustainable bites.
If you’re looking for guilt-free meals to put on your table this summer, look no further than Oshen Salmon. Boasting both sustainable practices and health benefits, Oshen’s fresh salmon delivery service makes for dishes that do more than taste good. “We believe we are a part of the ocean, and the ocean is a part of us, so we created Oshen as an extension of our commitment to the environment,” says CEO Sebastian Goycoolea. “We continue to be frontrunners in sustainable practices that are ethical for aquaculture.”
Choose between a salmon box of two or four portions, or, for a night with friends and family, opt for The Oshen’s Twelve box with 12 frozen filets.
Oshen raises its salmon in Chile’s cold waters, working with community-supported fisheries, veterinarians and staff. The fish are then harvested and processed in renewable-energy facilities with no waste runoff before being shipped to customers. Oshen guarantees salmon delivery seven days fresher than local retailers. “To maintain optimal freshness, our salmon arrives in style in designated coolers that keep them at optimal temperature—cool but never frozen,” says Goycoolea. “Our salmon stays fresh as it journeys to your doorstep. Our frozen portions are vacuum-sealed at peak freshness and are immediately flash-frozen to ensure you are receiving the most flavorful experience.”
But never fear—even the company’s shipping process makes an effort to be ecologically friendly. “Our fresh salmon arrives to the U.S. via cargo and passenger flights,” Goycoolea adds. “We aim to minimize our carbon footprint, so we work with partner airlines to ship our product via international passenger flights from Chile.” Oshen’s ecological efforts don’t end there, extending to beach cleaning and agreements with conservation organizations like the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) and BirdLife. “As stewards of our lands and waterways, we recognize our responsibility to lead our industry toward a cleaner environment for all,” Goycoolea says.
This summer, Oshen just launched its subscription service, so customers can get more salmon for less. Whether you’re cooking up a romantic meal for two or a lively dinner party, Oshen has a delivery box for your next occasion. The fresh salmon comes in sets of two or four portions, while The Oshen’s Twelve box includes 12 frozen filets. The deal “allows you to save 10% for a weekly, biweekly or monthly delivery,” shares CMO Evelyn Torres. “This special subscription service makes a significant savings if you plan to keep reordering our fresh fish throughout the year.”
Digging into decadent salmon may feel like an indulgence, but Osh?n always keeps your well-being in mind. Raised on all-natural feed that’s free of steroids and hormones, only the healthiest fish are selected for harvest. Plus, healthy omega-3s and lots of protein pack in nutritional value. “What I love is that Oshen is free from microplastics, growth hormones and heavy metals, so it’s perfect to prepare guilt free for anyone in your family,” says Torres. “The healthier the fish, the healthier the protein, which in turn means a healthier you.” If you need advice on how to prepare your salmon, Torres has just the thing for a simple summertime bite. “During the warmer months, I like to prepare it on the lighter side by adding just a little lemon and pink Himalayan sea salt and baking it in parchment for 20 minutes,” she says. “It tastes very fresh, and it melts in your mouth!” oshensalmon.com
