TikTok sensation Remi Bader
Altering the face of fashion through realistic clothing hauls and curve-friendly collaborations, Hamptons resident and social media maven Remi Bader (@remibader) is truly taking the fashion world by storm. We sat down with the stylish sensation to get the scoop on her next steps in reshaping and refashioning the industry.
Which partnerships or brand collaborations have you enjoyed so far? I’ve worked with a number of different brands over the past two years, but my favorite is working with in-depth partnerships. I am a brand ambassador and size consultant for Victoria’s Secret PINK, where I help them expand their sizes. I also recently launched REMI X REVOLVE and extended the REVOLVE size range for the first time to go from an XXX to 4X. I was able to fully design and create a line of pieces I have always wanted to see in my size. It truly has been such an amazing experience.
What does your ideal day look like in the Hamptons? For me the Hamptons is truly home. After I was raised in New York City, my family moved to the Hamptons after 9/11. Post-college I learned to appreciate the Hamptons so much more because it’s such a special place. When I come out, I really use it as my relaxation and escape from the city, which I am so blessed to have. I really love hanging out with my family by the pool or going to the beach and seeing all my local friends. On the weekends, I love to go out to Montauk to have a little more of a going-out fun night.
Where do you see the growth of your platform going? I feel like a lot of people, once they reach a certain point on social media, try to get away and pivot their career. For me, I really want to continue on the track I started on and even grow into different social platforms. I want to keep gaining a following because I feel like my platform is for helping people feel better about themselves and I want to keep that community growing. I also want to see the direction this can take me outside of social media. Most importantly, I want to continue to make the fashion industry a more inclusive place. I’m just going with the flow and seeing where this all takes me.
What interests you most about the fashion industry? How do you wish to change it? The fashion industry is something that has always been so interesting to me, but I felt like I didn’t necessarily have a place or belong in it because of my size. Now being able to have this platform and seeing that brands and retailers are actually listening and are willing to make a change based on what I’m saying is really important. I want to continue doing that and seeing how much change can actually be made.
How would you describe your style? I never really know how to answer this question, but someone recently did a video about three words that represent my style and I really liked how they put it: geometric, sexy and powerful.
