Rowdy Hall’s raw bar is worth digging into this season
After nearly three decades, Rowdy Hall re-imagines its restaurant at a new address in Amagansett.
Amagansett, warmly welcome your latest and greatest resident, Rowdy Hall. After over 25 triumphant years of Bavarian pretzels, Rowdy burgers and beers in East Hampton, the cozy haven for camaraderie has found a new home on Amagansett’s Main Street. The brainchild of Honest Man Hospitality—whose restaurant catalog includes La Fondita, Coche Comedor, Townline BBQ and Nick & Toni’s—Rowdy Hall re-imagines the historic Main Street Tavern with an American pub-meets-French bistro allure.
“Rowdy Hall’s move east is an opportunity to stretch and grow the beverage program while maintaining the beloved aspects that guests have known us for since 1996: excellent microbrewed and international draught beers served in generous imperial pint glasses, value and deliciousness in the all-poured wine list, all the classic spirits represented on the back bar,” says beverage director Chimene Macnaughton. “The new location will add to that established foundation.”
Beyond a striking new appearance (yes, its trademark black and gold exterior persevered), Rowdy Hall ups its hospitality game with an innovative menu and cocktail program for both loyal regulars and newcomers. Visitors will indulge like never before in Rowdy Hall’s staple dishes (think the famous Rowdy burger, French onion soup and steak frites) and newly added menus like custom meat and cheese boards and a ravishing raw bar. Diners can wash down these palatable plates with pre-Prohibition classics from the specialty cocktail program, elevating every night on the East End.
The menu boasts a handful of new items including boards.
“We look forward to establishing the new Rowdy Hall as a community gathering place like we did in East Hampton,” says partner Mark Smith. “Our service teams have grown into the new location too. We’re grateful and proud to have attracted some of our community’s best and brightest bartenders, servers and cooks to join the Rowdy family, who moved with us from 10 Main St. Many friendly and accomplished hospitalians are ready to welcome our guests into our beautiful new space. We are also open year-round, which we believe is critical to becoming an intimate part of the community.”
It’s evident that Honest Man Hospitality owners continue to grasp what it takes to thrive in the Hamptons, and Rowdy Hall’s new Amagansett venue maintains the high standards of its gastronomic siblings. 177 Main St., Amagansett,rowdyhall.com
