Sophie Elgort with her children Stella and Artie captured by her father, celebrated photographer Arthur Elgort
From reimagining headshots to mastering mommyhood, photographer and Hamptonite Sophie Elgort has an eye for style. We asked the talented tastemaker for a look through her lens.
“Over the years I've had a lot of businesses and individuals reach out to me about shooting their headshots, or, when I haven't been available, where I recommended they get them done. After years of not having a great answer, I decided to create Clickhouse,” says photographer Sophie Elgort (sophieelgort.com), who hails from the ultratalented East End family. Clickhouse (clickhouseny.com) offers high-quality, affordable and creative headshots. “Since most of my work is shooting fashion or celebrity, I put together teams who can give the experience that celebrities and models receive at professional photo shoots—hair and makeup, seeing your images pop up on the screen real time, and yes, even a little bit of retouching.” In addition to her newly debuted podcast (Two Aging Millennials) and a photography exhibition at ADEAM (open June 22 through mid-July), the maven juggles mommyhood with aplomb. Her we asked the mom of two (with a third on the way) for her summer lineup.
BRUNCH BUNCH
“We like to ride our bikes to Dockers in East Quogue for brunch or lunch. It’s a long way but a beautiful ride, and you can’t beat the on-the-water setting once you get there. Plus then we’ve earned whatever it is we want to eat…” dockerswaterside.com
FAMILY STYLE
“Since the traffic can be so bad going east, we often like to go west instead. Rumba is a favorite! Such a fun vibe and great food. Also Cowfish (same owners).” rumbahamptonbays.com; cowfishrestaurant.com

FINDERS KEEPERS
“My friend and I took our daughters to Hampton Flea and Vintage in Southampton the other Sunday (on Meeting House Lane outside the Southampton History Museum). Stella loved trying on the vintage jewelry, and I could have spent hours there looking through all the incredible vintage pieces. Some Sundays are in Southampton; some are in Amagansett.” hamptonflea.com
FIT BIT
“I love playing tennis in the summers. I didn’t grow up playing a lot (and my brother Warren was a college player, so in comparison I’m a beginner), but the best part is that it’s social and any progress I make feels like a victory. Also, I like to go to SOMA by Rodica (wonderful personal trainer who also leads a few group classes on Hill Street), SLT and SoulCycle.” sltnyc.com; soul-cycle.com

FASHION FIX
“Carleen Ligozio in Southampton has the best, most unique selection of clothing, accessories, jewelry, etc. She’s had her store forever—when I was in high school working as a sales associate as Calypso (now closed), I used to go to her store during my lunch break to see her and spend all the money I made. My summer uniform is everything by La Ligne. All their pieces are so effortless, and their dresses are still comfortable and fit and look great while pregnant too.” @carleenligozio
SPLASHWORTHY
“I love the suits at Jacadi (they have a store in East Hampton). Also, the Flying Point Surf & Shop is a classic—the kids section is in the way back, so you can find a new suit for yourself on the way!” jacadi.us

A FINE ART
“I have some of my own photography around our house (sold through Staley-Wise Gallery in NYC), but we are always collecting art and adding pieces especially from artists we know. And of course we have a lot of photography from my dad, Arthur Elgort. My friend Danielle Kosann is an incredible illustrator, and we just got a new piece from her. She sells her work at Bergdorf’s but also does commissions!” staleywise.com; arthurelgort.com; daniellekosann.com
ABOUT FACE
“I’m always trying new things. Right now Dr. Babor Lifting RX collagen cream, East 29th Vital serum and the Exponent Beauty products—and keeping the staples that work in my routine—the Beauty Counter Lotus Glow cleansing balm, Beauty Counter All Bright C serum, Joanna Vargas revitalizing eye cream and Dr. Barbara Sturm Glow Drops. And always sunscreen, of course: Prevention + by IMAGE Skincare on my face and my kids’ Sun Bum mineral SPF 50 on my body.” sunbum.com
