A legendary cycling studio gets a new look for summer 2018.
Even on the most glorious of East End beach days, one of the hottest places to be is inside a darkened room, peddling to sweat-drenched exertion on a bike that goes nowhere, surrounded by others doing the same. Such is the magic of SoulCycle, which is sprinting into summer with a new look and expanded, bike-less class offerings at its beloved Bridgehampton studio, better known as the BARN.
Renovations to the cycling studio, which opened in 2007, have made room for more bikes, and the breezy wraparound deck now leads to an upgraded check-in experience and a broader selection of the latest SoulCycle gear. The BARN is also the summer home of SoulAnnex: SoulCycle’s incubator space for off-the-bike fitness, which debuted last fall with a standalone space in the Flatiron District. Those looking for something special can enroll in The Class by Taryn Toomey, a transformative fitness experience that challenges the body and the mind. In addition to classes at the BARN that range from cardio to meditation, SoulAnnex offers private training sessions—a first for the spinning spin-off.
