“I was able to manifest my own affinity to create and turn a vision into reality through real estate,” says Allen. “I got my start in real estate after building and selling my first home in the Hamptons in 2008. I enjoyed the creative process of bringing a vision to life and I wanted to do it again and again.”

Allen, the driving force behind the company’s creative designs, works alongside the company’s on-site project manager, Joe Levoi. “Joe Levoi is an integral part of the business and has been with South Fork Custom Home Development since inception,” says Allen.

Built by South Fork Custom Home Development, the south-facing outdoor living space at 144 Pulaski St. features a heated guinite pool, a covered front porch and a bluestone terrace.

Allen serves as both president and co-owner of talent agency Universal Attractions (universalattractions.com) and as a celebrity agent, having worked with names like Bobby Brown and New Edition.

“This was not the first time I created or started a business,” says Allen. “My primary business in entertainment afforded me the opportunity to help my clients create and sell their dream. I enjoyed that process so much that I decided to do it for myself. I managed the career of James Brown for over two decades, and, while I could not sing or dance, I could create and build.”

Since he founded the company in 2012, the firm’s projects have encompassed a $20 million sale in 2022 in the exclusive Murray Compound in Southampton, which was featured on Max TV series Selling the Hamptons, among countless other projects.

The company has recently completed a three-story, 4,500-square-foot home, situated on one-third of an acre of land at 144 Pulaski St. in the village of Southampton. A melodic hybrid of traditional and modern design elements, the five-bedroom, 5 ½-bathroom home has been strategically placed on a south-facing lot to capture the premier location’s abundant natural light.

“You will find the same quality fixtures, appliances, cabinetry and more in 144 Pulaski St. that you’d find in the $20 million home we sold in 2022. I do not know how to build ‘builder-grade’ homes. My homes are built as if I were to live in them,” says Allen.

The firm is currently in the process of developing a modern 5,000-square-foot, six-bedroom home at 40 Oceanview Drive in Southampton. The home is situated atop a 47-foot-tall bluff overlooking Shinnecock Bay in the exclusive Atterbury community. The property, which will be listed in summer 2024 for around $10 million, features a waterfront infinity-edge pool, panoramic views, stairs to a private beach, a 1,000-square-foot rooftop deck and more.

Later this year, the company will begin constructing a 4,500-squarefoot, two-story home, situated on a bulkhead canal with 75 feet of waterfront exposure, located at 87 Little Neck Road in Southampton.

“When 87 Little Neck Road is completed,” Allen says, “the only thing the buyer will need to do is bring their boat or jet ski to begin living their Hamptons summer.”
