From florals to pastels, French manis to asymmetrical swipes, these breathtaking designs from some of our favorite sources are here to inspire. Recreate them at a home with a few tools, or take them to your favorite nail tech and let the professionals do the heavy lifting.
This look and the two that follow come from the nail artists at Bellacures salons, with locations in California and Dallas, TX. This is a cute, spring-ready take on the classic French manicure. Bellacures suggests starting with a squared shape and slightly rounded edges, and a base coat to create an even surface. Once your base coat has dried, use a small, thin brush to add some pastel green to the tip of your nails (they suggest OPI That’s Hula-rious). Do this with two coats for a saturated application. Once the green tips have dried completely, outline your French tip with another thin brush line of white (Bellacures uses OPI Alpine Snow) to make that green really stand out! Don’t forget the top coat to seal in your design.
Turn your nails into an Easter basket full of bright and colorful fun with this French mani. Bellacures suggests an oval or rounded shape to make the tips stand out. Grab your favorite blue shade (Bellacures likes OPI Closer than you might Belem and OPI Can’t Find My Czechbook) and paint two coats on all but your index and ring finger. Those two will be your accent nails, and the design starts with two coats of a sheer nude. Once that’s dried, use a thin brush to draw a curved line in blue about ¼ up from of your nail edge. Do this in one quick motion to make the line as clean as possible. Use this line as an outline, and fill in the rest of your nail tip with blue, using at least two coats. Seal it with a top coat, and get ready for the complements!
This third design from Bellacures offers something similar with a pretty pastel. You can use your favorite light, spring colors, or you can use Bellacures faves: OPI You're Such a Budapest, OPI The Pass is Always Greener, OPI No Tan Lines, OPI Suzi Nails New Orleans, and OPI Alpine Snow. This one uses an almond shape, and two coats of each color on a different nail—except your ring finger. That is your statement nail, and the design is created with one coat of sheer nude followed by a thin brush stroke of pink polish across your nail about ¼ up from of your nail edge. Fill in the tip of your nail with that same pink color, giving at least two coats for maximum color, then finish with a top coat for shine!

This design from TikTokker Myshell.nails uses a set of gel tips, but you can recreate this look with any length nail. First, paint your thumb, pinky and ring finger with pastel colors of your choice. The pointer and middle finger will our accents, which are first painted in a base coat of your favorite nude (or in Myshell’s case, Put It In Neutral by OPI). Once that has dried, use a dotting tool to create a circle of flower petals. Myshell uses white, but you could use any color you want. Fill the circle with one final dot of the same color, and allow to the design to dry completely before applying your top coat.

Big Boy Speed Up - Dj Kampung
Speaking of flowers, these slightly larger cuties are just as easy to create and give a very ‘60s mod vibe. From TikTokker NailzKatKat, this design uses a nude base coat, your favorite bright pastels, and dotting tools and a striper. Start with the nude base coat on all your nails and allow that to dry, then create a large ring or half ring of large dots in one of your pastel polishes. Before it dries, dip a clean striper into the dots and drag the polish into an oblong petal shape. Do this with each nail, creating each flower one at a time so the polish doesn’t dry before you can drag. Use a dotting tool to create a center for each flower, and use another clean striper on a couple accent nails to create a linear French tip design with one of the pastels!

TikTokker Priscilla's Nails wowed us with this one! Using a nude base coat and a series of pastel polishes, she uses a striper to first create a triangular stripe down the right side of each nail. It’s easier to fill in the stripe if you first use the striper to create an outline, connecting the bottom right of your nail to the top left of your tip in a bit of a curve. Once you’ve filled in the stripe, use a striper again to deposit large drops of polish in the same color. A coat of dip powder added softly to the top, shaking off the excess, helps give a matte finish and seal in your design!

Of course we need to leave room for the classic ombre! This design is simple and straightforward but always catches the eye of passersby. All you need is two complimentary pastel polishes—Lights Lacquer highlights its own Frenchy and Juke Box Baby shades here—and a makeup sponge. Paint two swipes of each on the sponge, then dab the color onto your nails and seal it with a top coat once the dabbed layers dry!
Now that you’ve got the perfect spring manicure, show off your beautiful set with a delicious and floral beverage from something off our list of favorite spring cocktail recipes.
