Top real estate agent Susan Breitenbach remarks on her favorite go-tos around town.
What is your favorite area of the Hamptons and why? All of the Hamptons are great each in their own way with their own special vibe. I love the waterfront in Sag Harbor, and the village is so fun and happening; we also keep our boat there. Water Mill is lovely and where I currently live and love. The sunset over the bay is very tucked away and quiet. I also love the fact that it is in the middle of it all. I am in the car driving and selling real estate all over the Hamptons, from Westhampton to Montauk, so that is very important!
Breitenbach loves tennis
What is your favorite place to exercise or work out? This past year my workouts were in my home gym, on my elliptical or Peloton with some weights, as well as walking and running outside on the beach. I play tennis, and in the winter I [play] paddle tennis at East Hampton Indoor Tennis. It is like a family there! SoulCycle and Pilates are also two of my favorites. I just sold a building on Butter Lane and Equinox just moved into Bridgehampton, so I’m going to try that soon.
The real estate agent’s favorite spots for a cup of joe include Hampton Coffee Company.
Where do you like to source food (farm stands, local restaurants or gourmet stores)? I go to all the local stores. I love Clamman for seafood, the local farm stands (Babinski’s on Mecox), Cromer’s Market for a quick pickup, Green Thumb for organic produce, Citarella and Round Swamp.
What’s your go-to coffee or juice spot? Hampton Coffee or Starbucks.
What is your favorite local spa treatment? Gurney’s, Naturopathica and a new spa in Water Mill called Shou Sugi Ban House. All are great for a deep-tissue massage, which is my favorite.
For fresh produce, “I go to all the local stores,” she shares.
Where’s the best place to spot celebs in the Hamptons? Celebrities are all over. I think the most happening spot I have been to recently was Le Bilboquet last night. Unbelievable. There were so many recognizable faces! It’s a lot of fun, with a great atmosphere, views and food too.
What is your dream home street or address? My dream street is Actors Colony in North Haven, where I am marketing an incredible waterfront compound. It’s an amazing estate with three beautiful homes, a pool, gardens, an indoor-outdoor gym and a deep-water dock, with a pavilion and pond. It is absolutely magical!
What are you most looking forward to this summer? This summer I’m most looking forward to a little bit of normalcy. Barbecues, get-togethers with friends and family, having people over, going to restaurants and dinner parties. I will never take for granted any of that again!
