The East End’s annual automobile celebration, The Bridge, makes its grand return this fall.
The Bridge showcases an array of luxe and rare automobiles on the Bridgehampton Race Circuit
After a rainout last season, The Bridge (thebridgehamptons.com) returns with much anticipation for its eighth iteration and is back on its normally scheduled date, the second weekend of September.
The invite-only car exhibition will include more than 300 of the world’s most coveted and rare automobiles, from contemporary debuts to timeless and elegant antiques. The Bridge VIII takes place on Saturday, Sept. 14, atop the rolling hills of its pristine private golf course, the original grounds of the Bridgehampton Race Circuit, which has been owned by The Bridge golf club’s founder, Robert Rubin, since 1981.
The annual automobile event is one of the nation’s most prestigious and exclusive car shows, and remains unique in its reimagining of the typical concours event. The Bridge has no judges or awards, setting a collective celebratory tone of art, design and history—a shared vision between founder Rubin; Shamin Abas, president of her namesake ultraluxury marketing firm; and Manhattan attorney and automotive aficionado Jeffrey Einhorn.
The following day, on Sunday, Sept. 15, from 9 to 11 a.m., Cars & Coffee, which is complimentary and open to the public, will again be hosted at the Bridgehampton Museum.
Across the street and right after Cars & Coffee, The Bridge will return with its third annual garden party brunch at Topping Rose House from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Attendees will enjoy cocktails, curated classic cars, live jazz and cuisine prepared by host chef Jean- Georges Vongerichten. Tickets are available for purchase at $275 per person with a contribution of sales benefiting the Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreational Center.
“We couldn’t be more excited for our eighth year of The Bridge,” Rubin shares. “It is a truly special weekend, and we look forward to it all year. Many of our attendees share the same sentiment, and we can’t wait to return in full force for 2024.”
