There's plenty of time left this summer to plan your next getaway to St. Tropez or St. Barths. And DailyLook's fashion director Veronica Black has the tips you need to make your travel engagement a seamless one.
What three pieces can you not travel without? VERONICA BLACK: Keeping it comfortable, but put together is key for me when I travel so I always try to have a versatile staples on hand. Two of my must-haves from DailyLook are our striped button down, which feels very Jackie O. I wear it over my swimsuit during the day and then with my white denim for dining al fresco. Another great piece I snag from our closet is our gray waterfall cardigan. Lightweight and perfect for a chilly plane ride and breezy beach nights. And of course I can’t fly without a great book (currently reading The Destroyers) and my phone!
What is the one thing you always forget to pack when traveling? VB: Being a Virgo I rarely forget anything as I’m a meticulous planner, but my headphone adapter seems to be a frequently forgotten piece of equipment that I keep leaving behind.
What is the best beauty accessory? VB: Nothing wakes up the eyes more than a quick eyelash curl and some great waterproof mascara! I also love to wear an Hermes scarf around my neck when I fly. Not only does it add polish to any outfit, but it doubles as a chic hair accessory.
Does your beauty routine change when you travel? What sorts of creams do you use? VB: I have a fairly easy routine at home and abroad, but the one thing I do bring is Shiseido eye patches for the plane to keep the under eye looking fresh and hydrated. And of course my favorite sunscreen by Beautycounter to minimize sun damage!
